*There are many ways to light up the gas. You may try any of below several ways:
1. The easiest way is to get the glass-enclosed gas near to an ion ball (which can be bought from a gift shop at a cost around $10). The disadvantage of this method is that the luminous intensity may be weak.
2. Using high-voltage generator to make it shine. Commonly used high-voltage discharge devices include Tesla coils, spark detectors, etc. When the glass-enclosed gas is close to a high-voltage arc, the gas will illuminate. This method has a high luminous intensity, but it is necessary to pay attention to safety because it involves a bare high-voltage electric spark. At the same time, please let the round bottom part of the glass tube to be close to the spark, try to avoid the spark contact with the tip of the glass tube. If the spark always touches the tube, the glass tube is easy to be damaged and cause the gas leaking.
